The Disability Martial Arts Association was sent up in January 2007 We are a wide supporting network for people with disabilities and their families who are or who wish to be involved in martial arts.

We have set up a data base of Martial Arts Academy’s School’s and Club’s in the UK that will teach people with all types of disabilities.

The FSKA London Karate Club offers classes for ages 5-10 and 11-16 years in a safe, interesting and friendly training environment.

The training programme is designed to encourage the development of motor skills, balance, endurance, strength and the coordination of eye, hand and foot.

It is a mixture of simple training exercises and games designed to assist in the physical development, improved health and increased fitness of each child. The children attend a 45 minute weekly session, which combines fun, excitement and exercises in a safe and caring environment.

LONDON SCHOOL OF CAPOEIRA classes for children are structured for the absolute beginner and also for the regular student.


The lessons are taught by Capoeira masters, Master Marcos and Master Silvia of the London School of Capoeira with 50 years teaching experience between them and have updated CRBs. Together with an assistant, the master will encourage the children to develop their physical abilities through the training of Capoeira.

We teach Capoeira as a game of skill, creativity, fun and discipline.

During our lessons the children will:

1. Develop an awareness of the importance of thorough warm-up.
2. Develop core skills of co-ordination, strength, flexibility and stamina.
3. Learn Capoeira footwork, building on the movement basics of each general type (advancing, evading and basic Capoeira acrobatics).
4. Learn a Capoeira sequence of linked movements with a partner.
5. Learn some of the principles of the game of Capoeira
6. Learn how to apply the movements practiced in class to the Roda (the circle where Capoeira takes place).
7. Develop their natural sense of playfulness via organized training
