GREENWOOD GRANGE
Created around the 19th century farm buildings built by Thomas Hardy’s father and just up the path from Hardy’s Cottage, Greenwood Grange offers a luxurious, environmentally-friendly holiday concept in Dorset.
Ancient stone, brick and slate barns and outbuildings have been transformed into beautifully designed accommodation ranges from cosy one bedroom cottages to a thatched barn that sleeps twelve, with each cottage being unique in character and design.
The Greenwood Grange philosophy mixes luxury vacationing with environmental responsibility – sustainable, natural fabrics and updated antiques and energy efficient equipment have been used in the stunning interiors, whilst in the extensive grounds there is a fruit and vegetable garden, fresh eggs from the Greenwood Grange hens for breakfast and the opportunity to have local produce delivered direct to your door, all helping to keep carbon footprint to a minimum.
Facilities at Greenwood Grange include an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a well-equipped games room. Outside, there are nature trails, children’s play areas, croquet and giant garden games as well plenty of tranquil spaces to enjoy the stunning countryside setting.
Greenwood Grange has been awarded a 4/5* rating by English Country Cottages in addition to a Gold standard Green Tourism Business Scheme Award.
