Knowle Farm is a paradise for little children with animals galore, indoor and outdoor play areas, indoor heated pool, tennis and so much more - all set in 44 acres of beautiful South Devon countryside making it perfect for family friendly holidays.

The purpose built indoor toddler soft play area plus new outdoor toddler race track with ride-on toys, tractor tyre tunnel and play house are a real hit. The race track surrounds a large walk-in rabbit enclosure where children can stroke and feed the rabbits. Our pigs ‘Rasha’ and ‘Streakie’ are really popular with the children along with our miniature donkeys who love to be stroked. Don’t forget our alpacas, sheep, Pete the Dartmoor pony and his friend ‘Apache’ the skewbald donkey – they all love to say hello. Open your cottage door the chickens and ducks will be waiting, hoping to be fed.

There are six beautifully converted barns and the cottage range includes one, two, three and four bedrooms sleeping from two to eight plus cots. We hold a Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation, have a Four Star rating and also a Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

The indoor heated pool is ideal for children with gentle steps to the shallow end and you can arrange swimming lessons with a qualified teacher. We also have our very own woodland and riverside walks where you can truly relax.

The area is awash with local attractions including steam trains and river trips and there is an excellent 11th century local village pub that is child friendly (baby-sitting can be arranged). Wonderful sandy beaches are within 30 minutes. Dartmoor National Park is on our doorstep.

Family friendly holidays in South Devon

This child friendly site has a heated indoor pool, games room with table tennis, pool and a kiddies corner, tennis court and a large wooden children’s’ play area. Feeding time with the pigs, goats, and chickens is a highlight. There is also a well stocked honesty shop with fresh bread and croissants available each morning.

Set in 10 acres of picturesque South Hams countryside, Pitt Farm offers all the ingredients for a memorable holiday in beautiful South Devon. The 7 cottages have been created by the imaginative conversion of a range of large stone farm buildings to offer spacious and private family accommodation. The cottages sleep from 2 -13 people.

All the cottages have fully equipped kitchens; including washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Each has a colour TV, video, CD/radio, garden or terrace and ample parking. Bed and kitchen linen is provided.

Beautiful sandy beaches, secluded coves, spectacular river estuaries and coastal paths can be found within a few miles, whilst Dartmoor is approximately 20 miles away. The historic towns of Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe offer a wide range of facilities, including shops, inns, restaurants, river cruises and steam train trips.
