Encompassing a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, group games, artistic projects, and traditional camp activities such as rallies and campfire songs – Camp Williams is a place where children from all backgrounds and walks of life can come together to form new positive friendships, learn new skills, and build confidence. Sessions are action-packed, adventure driven and experience focused to engage young people.
We believe children with the opportunities to learn through interactive experiences delivered by our role model Camp Leaders will make healthier choices as they grow into adults. Campers receive awards and certificates for demonstrating the four core values of Nottinghamshire YMCA – caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
At Camp Williams children aged 4 - 15 will take part in camp rallies, sports, swimming, games and crafts. Plus, 8 – 15 year olds on our full programme can take part in skills clinics ranging from archery to climbing, skateboarding tο mountain biking, music and drama to basketball. Parents can join us on Camp Fire Fridays to see all of the awesome things that children get up to at camp and join in with some songs and games!
There is the option for children to take part in our simplified single day programme. Kids Zone (4 - 7 years) and Pioneers (8 - 12 years) get to try YMCA standard activities adapted for those who can't join us for a whole week at a time. You can choose free transport to and from Camp Williams - making it easier to plan your day.
