Roald Dahl Museum
This great little award-winning Museum is aimed at 6 to 12 year olds and their families, and is situated in the village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years.
Step through the chocolate doors to explore the Museum’s three fun and fact packed interactive galleries. Boy gallery focuses on Roald Dahl’s school days; Solo gallery features his original Writing Hut and the Story centre offers fantabulous creative displays and activities to fire imaginations.
There are always free craft activities on offer, and an exciting range of workshops, events, and free storytelling sessions take place in the school holidays and at weekends.
The Museum café serves a family-friendly range of home made food, and the shop is a treasure trove of books, toys and gifts.
The Museum is open Tuesday – Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm. We are normally closed on Mondays but call us on the above number for occasional Monday openings, Easter and Christmas opening times.
