About Epping Forest

Epping Forest is the largest public open space in the vicinity of London, measuring nineteen kilometres long and nearly four kilometres wide. It combines the roles of wildlife habitat and conservation centre with over 150 artificial ponds and lakes.

It also hosts a variety af activities, 60 football pitches, an 18 hole golf course, three cricket pitches, fishing, boating, model aircraft flying, horse riding (horses can be hired locally), strolling and picnicking are popular Forest pastimes.
