The Ashcroft Arts Centre is the hub of arts, drama, entertainment and children’s drama, dance and arts & craft classes in the Fareham area.

We offer classes for children of all ages both after school and at weekends. In addition we run a range of daytime and evening classes for adults too. Our jam packed programme offers world class music, theatre and comedy as well as brilliant family theatre in school holidays.

From Youth Theatre and Street Dance to Art Classes and Spy School, there is something for children of all ages and interests here at the centre each week.

The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations and seeks to accomplish its mission through promoting dance, educating and training students and teachers and providing examinations to reward achievement in 83 countries all over the world.

The RAD Training department’s programme of activities runs across the UK, as well as internationally, engaging with local communities, RAD teaching members and dance schools– to widen participation and access to dance. If your child is a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, and whether he/she wants to dance for fun or is working towards a career in dance, we have something for everyone. All RAD Registered Teachers are CRB checked.

The RAD offers an internationally recognised portfolio of Examinations which is designed for students of all ages and levels of ability. Students as young as two and a half may start dancing with the Pre-School Dance Curriculum, with the opportunity to move through Graded levels or Vocational Graded levels.

In our commitment to higher education, we created the Faculty of Education in 1999, dedicated to meeting the needs of our current and future dance teachers by providing education programmes and qualifications.

Renton Dance Studio has been established for 25 years, offering children's dance classes in Farnborough aged from toddlers to adults in a dedicated, air conditioned studio.

Classes are offered in RAD Ballet as well as ISTD Tap, Modern, National, Greek and Jazz to major level, taught by fully qualified, specialist staff. Examination results are of an exceptionally high standard. Private coaching is offered for exams, auditions and competitions.

We consider that we are the only vocational school in the area. Many of our children are selected as Junior, Mid and Senior Associates of The Royal Ballet School. We currently have two students at White Lodge. Most of our seniors audition for dance colleges and have been accepted with full funding at Elmhurst, Birds, Laines, Performers, Central, Rambert etc.

In addition we offer opportunities for children to take part in Festivals, bi-annual school shows, auditions for pantomimes and English Youth Ballet and London Children’s Ballet productions where one of our pupils has the lead in 'The Secret Garden' and 'Jane Eyre'.

Significant numbers of our senior students have been accepted, with full funding, at a variety of dance colleges and many are now appearing in West End shows like 'Mamma Mia' 'Lion King' 'Fame' and 'West Side Story'.

Children accepted from 3 years to study Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Grades and Majors. Registered teachers of the Royal Academy of Dance. Also ISTD Modern Major syllabus.

Tappy Toes is a dance/movement class for boys and girls aged 6 months to 5 years. Our syllabus is designed specifically for this age group, to encourage creativity, improve coordination, increase confidence and develop rhythm and musicality. We use a fun mix of pop songs, Disney tunes, nursery rhymes and music from their favourite TV shows. We dance with props like pompoms, dance ribbons, hoops, bells etc. We sing songs with actions, and tell stories through dance and movement.

Our NEW Baby classes, known as Teeny Toes are for babies from 6 months and up, and use lots of different props, songs with actions and movement for baby and parent to do together. Our Baby Ballet classes (Tip Toes) are for children aged 3-5 years, and introduce them to the basics of ballet in a fun and imaginative way, and our standard Tots Toes class is for 18 months up to 4 years.
