Toddler and Children's Ballet Classes in Central London

With over 100 years of experience, the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a world leader in dance education and training.

The global headquarters in Battersea, London, are also home to the RAD Dance School, which offers a variety of extra-curricular dance classes for young people and adults.

Whether for fun and fitness or to develop technique and skills, we provide a full timetable of classes offering something for everyone.

We are celebrating our silver anniversary this year! 25 years of training children, teenagers (and some adults too! ) in a wide range of performing arts subjects.

Children's classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Drama, Singing, Salsa, Street, Gymnastics and Piano in Central London. All teachers are qualified and DBS checked. We offer exams and are affiliated to the ISTD, LAMDA, ABRSM and BAGA for the relevant exams. We also put on shows in a central London Theatre and have dancers who represent England at International competitions.

The school also has an agency for those seeking and suitable for professional work.

We take pupils from 3 yrs of age and cater for the once a week child to the more ambitious student who wishes to train to Advanced level. We are a friendly school with a cohesive teaching team and keep our prices low so we are affordable for everyone who loves the arts! A subject of 10 lessons of 45 minutes is £50 per term, plus there is a subject discount scheme on core subjects.

La Sylvaine and Wendy Bell Ballet Schools have been established since 1975 offering girls and boys an introduction in Ballet and Dance in Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham. The schools operate in various locations, and also run Dance Clubs in a number of private and state schools throughout Central London.

• Ballet classes are offered in either English or French for children aged from 3-18 years. From Age 6 the Ballet School follows the RAD Syllabus
• Hip Hop and Street Dance for boys and girls from age 8
• We prepare older children for Vocational Schools, such as Arts Educational and Royal Ballet School (entry at 11 & 18)

Our classes are taken by fully qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about encouraging your child to have fun and reach their potential in a friendly and positive atmosphere. RAD exams can be taken but are not compulsory. The school performs regular shows or end of year presentations. Every five years, a professional production is staged in a London West End theatre.
