French & Spanish classes for children

Established since 1983. Give your Child a Skill for Life.

What’s on 4 Kids 2017 Awards – Voted Best National Activity for Children aged 5-12 years old - 4th consecutive year - Voted for by Parents & Children

For over 30 years La Jolie Ronde has been a unique centre for learning not just a second language but a platform for introducing children to the everyday realities of the country and the culture they are studying. Our award winning programme, for 0-12 years, contains stories, action poems, chants, songs and games enabling children to learn whilst having fun! Children progress through the programme and there are different starting points so children can start learning French or Spanish whatever their age following a programme tailored to their age group. Topics are based on real life situations suited to the interest, experience and social development of each age group.

WHY LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?

  • ENHANCE LIFE SKILLS - Speaking another language opens the door to new possibilities & opportunities. Travel and lifelong friendships are built with the people you meet along the way if you're able to communicate easily
  • DEVELOP CONFIDENCE & SELF ESTEEM - Learning a second language is incredibly rewarding and can enrich personal life too. We encourage children to use language in real life situations which in turn will enable them to overcome fears and doubts leaving them feeling much more confident
  • BOOST OTHER LEARNING - Research has found that pupils who study foreign languages, tend to score better at standardised tests than their monolingual peers. This has been particularly noticeable in maths, reading, and vocabulary
  • IMPROVE YOUR EMPLOYABILITY - Our globalised world means companies are constantly expanding overseas plus dealing with clients from all over the world. Speaking a second language enables you to communicate with a broader network

WHY CHOOSE US OVER OTHERS?

With La Jolie Ronde we are a brand you can trust. You have the security, reassurance and guarantee of a long and proven experience of teaching French & Spanish to young children. Our Programmes are used as part of the curriculum in hundreds of top prep schools in the UK and are taught across the world including the USA, Indonesia, Australia, South America, Africa, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Japan

SenseToys offers practical information and an interesting range of toys and activities for pre-school children and particularly for children with special educational needs – all based on first hand experience!

The emphasis of our resources to promote the acquisition of language through play for both verbal and non-verbal children.

SenseToys was set up by parents of two children with special needs, one with a language delay and one with autism. The carefully selected range of resources aim at helping children acquire language through play by helping to make learning fun and rewarding. Even the most ordinary toys can help your child if you know how to use them effectively.

The range includes thick wooden jigsaws with simple non-stylised pieces, lovely fabric beanie bags to teach shapes and colours, threading activities with large holes and chunky pieces, cause and effect toys and a great selection of tactile and sensory balls for lots of squishy bouncy fun. We also now include basic games and actvities to help with alphabet, counting and language concepts such as prepositions, opposites, small medium and large and we have a new range of toys to facilitate construction play.

Tutors & Exam Centres in UK

Tutors & Exams provides examination and assessment facilities primarily aimed at private and home educated candidates. The company was established in 2014 by a former Examinations Officer and Awarding Organisation Manager with over 25 years’ experience in education administration. In the intervening years Tutors & Exams has evolved into a much valued and respected examination venue.

Tutors & Exams has nationwide coverage with centres located around the country https://www.tutorsandexams.uk/#centre-locations. All are approved for examination delivery by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

In addition to our examination centres, we have also partnered with two schools in London, one in Coventry, one in Bolton and one in Taunton to deliver A level Science practicals outside of term time, using their labs.

In 2022/23 Tutors & Exams delivered examination assessments to thousands of candidates. We cater for 95% of all GCSE/GCE, International GCSE/GCE and Pearson Edexcel International A Level subjects alongside Functional Skills. We are also willing to consider requests for additional subjects that we do not currently cater for.

To ensure access to assessment is available to ALL learners we have our own Access Arrangements team who can assist in organising access arrangements if required.

We work in partnership with many large, respected distance learning providers and online schools, and very much value these relationships to deliver high quality assessment for their learners. We also accommodate private training organisations delivering qualifications to sizeable cohorts spread geographically throughout the UK.

Furthermore, we also facilitate examinations for a growing number of universities to deliver their distance learning programmes and AAT (Association of Accountancy Technicians) assessments are also available in our centres.
