Norden Farm Centre for the Arts based in Maidenhead, Berkshire is a family friendly arts centre offering a wide range of activities and entertainment for adults and children of all ages.
In the school holidays we have family shows, arts and crafts, storytelling and children’s movies – there is something on every day.
During the summer, we bring in over 12 tonnes of sand and create The Maidenhead Beach – somewhere for children to play for free while parents can enjoy something to eat and drink at the beach side café.
Our Christmas shows are based on children’s story books and are perfect for younger children. Previous shows have included The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, How to Catch a Star and Kipper’s Snowy Day. In 2015, we are delighted to welcome back Percy the Park Keeper in One Snowy Night, based on the hit books by Nick Butterworth.
Our annual Community Lantern Parade takes place in December and brings together families to create willow lanterns then parade them through Maidenhead Town Centre, accompanied by musicians and dancers.
Throughout the year, we host groups, classes and workshops for pre-school children, children and young people. All activities are led by DBS checked arts professionals.
Our range of activities for pre-school children includes weekly Blossom Ballet classes, Teddy Bears Music Club and Little Wrigglers dance classes.
Our exciting choice of after school classes for older children includes Bollywood Dance, Kathak Dance, Contemporary Dance, Youth Theatre, Digi Den, After School Arts Club and Arts Awards.
